Step 5 of 23

Languages and settings

Use Project settings to confirm the project identity and control the default and target languages.

The Settings page shows read-only project identity fields first: project name, domain, and project UUID. Use the UUID when an SDK or language switcher asks for the project ID.

  • Default language is the language of your original source content.
  • Target languages are the languages Altified should translate into.
  • Changing the default language removes it from the selected targets to avoid duplicates.
  • Removing a target language removes it from the switcher draft and live switcher.
  • Existing translation records remain stored when a target language is removed.
  • Newly added target languages become available in Language switcher, but are not published automatically.

Choose carefully

Changing the default language affects future source registration. Make sure it matches the language your app actually stores or renders as source text.
